Portugal
The new APS brand Guia Portuguese Chronograph watch IW371605 is part of the brand's most representative series. It combines the tradition of formal chronograph watches, elegant design, and complex functions, and is hailed as a classic in the field of high-end watchmaking.
1️⃣ Case: Original mold, the case design is consistent with the original version. The Portuguese chronograph case design is extremely simple and classic, featuring a predominantly precise circular shape. The shell lines are round and smooth, and the sides usually undergo a combination of sandblasting and polishing treatments, resulting in outstanding texture. The distinctive narrow polished bezel retains the display space of the dial to the greatest extent. The ear pieces are slender and curved, ensuring a perfect fit when worn on the wrist. The overall thickness is moderate at 13mm, achieving a balance between elegance and presence.
2️⃣ Dial: Through the mold, the dial of the Portuguese chronograph is its soul. The iconic symmetrical double sub-dials layout (3 o'clock 30-minute chronograph dial, 9 o'clock small seconds dial) brings a perfect balance of visual perception. Consistent with the original version, the railway track minute scale ring on the dial edge is derived from nautical instruments, combining retro beauty with high readability. The slender Arabic numeral hour markers and the leaf-shaped hands stand out beautifully and clearly on the silver-plated or deep blue dial, with an overall design that is simple and classic.
3️⃣ Movement: Molded 69355 movement. 69355 is a column wheel chronograph movement. After three years of development, it was finally replicated perfectly. It adopts the classic column wheel and vertical clutch structure, ensuring smooth activation of the chronograph function and no jitter in the hands. The movement has an oscillation frequency of 28,800 times per hour, provides 46 hours of power reserve, and is equipped with a stop-second function for precise time alignment. Its structure is relatively compact, helping to control the thickness of the case, and is the main movement that achieves a balance between performance, reliability, and classic design in this series.
