BLS New Product: The latest Omega Supercompacts series "The Dark Side of the Moon" watch features the "all-ceramic" manufacturing process. Ceramic is an inorganic non-metallic substance produced through high-temperature firing. This material can be used to manufacture high-density watch components with exceptional mechanical properties. Ceramic is one of the favored materials by consumers when choosing watches, thanks to its eye-catching and diverse colors and special properties. Ceramic is lighter than stainless steel by twice its weight, highly resistant, resistant to scratches, highly bio-inert, low allergenic, and non-magnetic. The case size of this watch is 44.25 millimeters. It is equipped with a blackened movement and the laser engraving technology is used to present the real scene of the moon's surface on the movement bridge, aiming to pay tribute to the outstanding contribution of the Supercompacts watch to the "Apollo 8" mission. Through the镂空 dial made of black anodized aluminum, the front side of the moon that can be observed from Earth (near the ground) can be clearly seen. The back of the watch showcases the "dark side of the moon" (far from the ground) that only astronauts have seen.
The watch is paired with a black perforated rubber strap, with a yellow rubber inner lining in the middle, making it eye-catching. The entire watch is made of black ceramic, with a yellow gloss finish on the central chronograph seconds hand, and the bezel is engraved with bright white enamel chronograph scales. The small seconds hand is made of five-level titanium material and presents a unique "Saturn 5 Launch Vehicle" shape. This 3D立体 shape is made by laser turning technology and presents different color effects through the techniques of white paint application, laser engraving, and laser blackening.
